Comments:
This was just a quick jaunt up the road (a little over an hour each way)from
Truckee to a dusty, roadside pullout in Plumas County, purported to be
under-represented among CA counties this year. Used a K3 and a Sigma 7 vertical
powered by a Honda generator. The Telnet pileup was exhilarating for the first
hour, then subsided as the available county hunters had their fill. Things were
slow enough after a couple hours that I stuck it out a little longer to make my
200 Q goal, packed up, and went back to Truckee to keep K6XX fed as he operated
the home station as N6A, making a real score.
