Comments:
I use N1MM+ for my logging program. This was the third contest I have used it. I
finally tried the multiple decoders and it made a huge difference with the weak
scatter signals on 10. I was also practicing with ESM and the
left-click/right-click. That is fantastic, but I didn't get the S&P part of
it programmed for the correct order. The run part operated flawlessly and saved
a lot of time. Last year I had a lot of pauses while I made selections. Now it
is just a click. On S&P, I didn't get the "Call Him" button
programmed first. I had the Exch button first, which caused a lot of lost time
because it would log the station before I called him if I forgot and tried to
right-click. This caused a number of scrambles to delete the log entry and start
over. Since 10 meters was so slow, I practice the Run ESM by clicking on the
gibberish calls in the RTTY window and calling them. I'm sure anyone watching
thought I was a novice, but it was fun.
This year 10 meters was, again, painfully bad. Yes, I expected it, but... 2020
was very similar to 2019 with the exception of Friday evening which produced VK
and ZL in 2019, but not 2020. Other than the few locals, every US contact was on
scatter to the south. I heard N6SS in AZ on Saturday and almost all of Sunday on
scatter. Highlight was working KH6 on scatter as my last contact Saturday night.
No EU, AF or AS. No VE, XE or zone 7.
