Outstanding QSO Party!! Loads of activity from OH, very good ops, plenty of CW
(and 160m added in 2020 for good measure!).
The eastern quarter or so of OH is within NVIS range of RI while more distant
parts allow pretty decent 20m band comms -- makes for an interesting QP from
here!
Increased my best previous OhQP effort (2017) by 8000 pts (add'l 20 Q's/13
mults) with about same op time). After an hour break which began at 1600Z
returned to find terrible nearby thunderstorm QRN causing very difficult
copy...necessitated shutdown again for about 75 mins. 80m was not useful for me
into OH until 30m before sunset (2330Z). Nice to have 160m band avail in last
couple hours for more Q's/more fun.
Managed 16 QRQ QSOs with super op Jim K8MR/m; a blast -- thanks!
First QP this year that I worked more than 200 QSOs -- 'Bravo' Buckeye state!!
Icom IC-7300 at 100 watts; Hexbeam up 32' on 20m; 88 ft doublet up near 40' on
40m/80m; 40m Half-Square up 30' on 80m via tuner; 160m Inv L. N1MM+ Logger and
WinKeyer USB CW interface.
