It was great to get out & breath some fresh air. Knew my setup was capable
of making some longer distance contacts, so decided to travel a bit farther away
this year. That meant fewer contacts than previous years. Made no contacts
<100km. More than half of the contacts were >350km, with the longest
being 394km. Corn & trees prevented a few uW contacts at some sites &
made other sites impossible to use. Thanks to W9FZ's website for providing info
on a few locations. Went to three locations. Slight enhancement Saturday
evening. Then as the cold front past, drizzle & light rain meant a late
start Sunday morning. Brought 24G, but nobody to work. Didn't bring 47G or
122G. No digital. Mostly CW.
