Comments:
A wild weekend of 6M activity! Really neat to have great prop to EU at the
start. Managed to log a few EU on FT8, SSB and CW. Lots of W1/8/9 on Saturday
until around 11 p.m. local or so.
Sunday produced more W9/0 and VE3 for several hours until settling down. The
band was quiet for about two hours here before roaring back with strong West
Coast signals.
Then the big thrill happened around 23:30 UTC - JAs began to flood the FT8
decode screen. For about a 30-40 minute stretch JA sigs ranged from -24 to a
peak of - 10 on Fun Times 8. No Qs here, but seeing 28 JA stations was still
exciting.
Station is a 5 element Cushcraft yagi at 30 feet and 80 watts from a Flex
6600M.
Q Breakdown by Mode:
CW - 68
FT4 - 63
FT8 - 73
SSB - 114
Thanks for the fun weekend.
73,
Nate/N4YDU
