Comments:
Due to a largely missing sporadic E-layer today,
14 MHz signal levels were good in Europe, but
not to the USA (did not hear a single station
VE or W). Yesterday during RSGB-HQP-CW two hours
earlier: I had never heard W1UE so strong before.
The pile-up on R6AF was so overwhelming that I had
to come back for a retry 30 minutes later. Quite a
hilarious moment was on 14.033 where a 50 wpm sked
was running, with two CWT stations at about 20 wpm
on both sides, and a 12 wpm asking for QRL? That's
what the skip-zone does for the side-looker....
It took me a couple of Q's to get aware of the
slow session today. A quick look on 21 MHz early
in the session showed no activity. Last 6 minutes
spent on 7 MHz with strong SM-signals. Cheers/73,
Zaba OH1ZAA #1856 CWops
