Finding 20m open at the start was fun; too bad many others didn't try it. 40m
was it's usual great self, while 80m was deadly with it's heavy static
crashes--it's kind of fun in a disturbing kind of way to watch the panadaptor
noise level across the screen suddenly jump from it's 0 baseline to s9 or +10.
:-)
It was great fun with great ops tonight.
Oh, yeah. The highlight was my first QSO: I ran across w5mj holding a frequency
on 20m just before the start, so I camped on him and nailed him when he CQ'd at
the start. I think it's our second CWT QSO...ever. Glad to be one of his 10 CWT
Q's.
