Interesting event. Thanks to whoever
Evoked memories of my Elmers (W8YKO Gordon and K8OGH Stan). Those two guys
really got me started with everything. Not only showed me their stations, but
gave me novice test, came to my house and put up a decent antenna, loaned me
gear (HT-17 & SX-28) but then topped it all off by taking me with them to
the Dayton Hamvention (at the Biltmore Hotel). This was in 1960. I was 13
years old at the time!
