Comments:
I am a bit skeptical that this score is correct (attempt at manual scoring was
lower), but Dave, WN4AFP said the latest update of N1MM+ would score correctly.
Compared to the claimed score of K1RO, it looks about right. WW4SF was good for
8 band slots = 2000 bonus and W4CAE for 750 points. Rare county bonuses were at
least 300 points more (worked all 4). There will be a new group of rare counties
next year,Hi!
It was a grind after about the first 40 minutes trying to find new stations to
work. N4IQ who was WW4SF/GVIL did a good job of working all open bands; he was
my lone 15M Q and easily heard me on backscatter. 40 started to go long around
20Z and rebounded a bit later. It was difficult to find the 2 club mobiles on 40
after 17Z. Everyone who showed up on 80 and 160 had a decent signal, just not
enough to keep it interesting. The peak of 80M activity seemed to be in the 22Z
and 23Z hours. Thanks to the 2 club mobiles who helped keep it interesting; you
need to recruit some CW ops.
73, Jeff N8II
