I booked the www.RemoteHamRadio.com (RHR) station KP4/Palmas and operated from
the comfort of my home as KP4/W2HUV during the 2020 ARRL CW DX contest. The
ARRL DX contests are unigue in that DX stations may not work each other. They
may only work W/VE stations. I pointed the SteppIR DB36 at NA and let the W/VE
stations come to me. There was no need for spotting. The runs during the 15m
openings were brutal, but I did the best that I could, considering my arthritic
fingers and being 80.
Who knew that the bulk of my contacts would be on 15m! This shouldn't have been
a surprise since many were probably going after there 15m DXCC award.
The results were my best ever.
