Comments:
Home station in complete disarray. Could not get computer sending to work.
Could not get the second radio to work. Couldn't get the keyer to key the rig.
Eventually plugged the paddles into the 781 and worked the whole thing by hand.
Couldn't find any paper logs, so I still logged on the computer.
Wasted a bunch of time trying to get a working 80m wire antenna here in
excellent weather today, only to find it didn't work better than the 40m
vertical through the tuner; realized the 20m wire wasn't working at all, either
(should have checked that first).
So, one wire GP, one radio, low power, hand sending. Plus Dear Daughter #2
(DD2) brought the new granddaughter here for the evening, so got interrupted a
lot.
Both activities were lots of fun, anyway!
Got beat out a lot, but had a few short periods with high rate where the
doublets came one after the other.
Mults heard but not worked: WD0T (SD), XE2S, N4OGW (MS), WI9WI (Wisconsin?), and
lots of VE7 and a CO2 none of whom were in the Sprint. W4OC was missed - lots
of Dons but no SC. RIP Don.
Congrats to those of you who broke 300 this time. Condx sounded great!
