Comments:
Contest ended up being an exercise in frustration. 222 MHz IF radio wouldn't
transmit phone altho CW worked OK, Propagation on 70cm seemed poor, Lack of
phone operations again showed migration to FT8 digital mode. FT8 removes all the
personal touches from the contest and turns it into a mechanical QSO grab. Many
operators did not want to work all bands available. No fun anymore. Probably my
last VHF contest. Equipment will be going to HamFest this summer. Will be
concentrating on DX-ing and HF Contests. Sorry this sounds like sour grapes.
