Quite a day ! My best CWT ever and first time over 20k
Spent the morning waiting for the snow to stop. Then went down into the woods
and sorta/kinda repaired my 160m inverted L (J) and then snowblowed the 220'
long driveway.
Had enough time to wolf down a sandwich around 2pm, test my 160m antenna, see if
15m was open and then fire up N1MM+ to play in the 1900z CWT.
About 90% 2BSIQ....haven't tried this too many times(ever) and did have 2 or 3
instances where I Was transmitting on the wrong radio and surely sounded like a
goofball. One of these days I'll get it setup so I can do it off-the-air for
practice so I don't sound like a LID when it comes time to actually go on the
air...
My usual SO2R situ is to run + S/P a second band, but 2BSIQ brings more
Q's.....in CWT's where there are no real mults, this works pretty well.
>From Canada in CQWW, this would be a fail strategy. Every test is different
though.
Thanks all ! CU (all of a sudden) in the next one.
2xic7410, 2x600w, many wires in the woods.
