Comments:
A part time effort due to other family commitments, particularly on Sunday. Do
not know the League's rationale behind the "two break"
rule...confusing and their examples add to the confusion...they must be trying
to address some ops who have been taking advantage of the breaks...for some
reason. My time was spread out over Saturday so I guess my few hours will be
caught up in the first 24 hours...or maybe not. Whatever!
Lots of activity which made winning jump balls with QRP tough. Setup N1MM+ with
MMTTY (standard filter) along with additional windows for 2-Tone, MMTTY (with
AA6YQ's filter), and GRITTY. Like the feature of having the additional windows
above the main window as it makes for quick double-checking of calls and
exchanges. Having all 4 decoders helped alot. Sometimes they all agreed but,
often not. Having the option to smoothly click on the right info was very nice.
I have been focusing some non-contest time on FT4 lately so, before shutting
down Saturday evening, I closed N1MM+ and opened WSJT-x in contest mode. 19 Qs
in 30 minutes...on par with my RTTY rates plus a couple new Multipliers (and one
new state towards WAS FT4...3 left now). Did not try coupling N1MM+ and WSJT-x
as I could not get it to work for the FT Roundup a few weeks ago.
K3 @ 5 watts to attic dipoles
Thanks for the Qs!
73, John
