WOW that was a blast! I thought I would get on for a few hours and make 100
qsos but I stayed for 12 hours and had a lot more fun!
Friday nite the band was wall-to-wall with runners so I search & pounced 107
qsos for 2 hours with only one pass down the band.
Saturday morning I search & pounced another 63 qsos.
Saturday nite it was time to run. I just picked a frequency and pushed the CQ
button for 8 hours. Rates were from 50 to 70 per hour. At 0300Z the band
opened to the west coast and I was working stations across the entire country.
And that with 500 watts and a dipole @ 60 feet.
See you all in the Stew Perry! 73, Tom NC3Y
