Summary:
[(Old rig) + (simple antennas)] * (QRM + QRN) = low score
My old TS2000 is just not up to crowded conditions on the low
bands, especially with my simple loaded dipole on 40/80. Family
obligations from 6-11 Saturday night and from 1-6 Sunday afternoon
cut into optimum 20M time as well, so most time was spent on
40 & 80. The RF Gain control got a workout too, although many
hams simply could not hear me calling.
Missed some close-in sections: CT, RI, NNY, ELI, but I DID get
NT! (Thanks Gerry.)
Rig: TS-2000
Log: N3FJP's November Sweepstakes Contest Log v6.7
Antennas:
10 HB 5el yagi @ 30ft (not that it mattered much...)
15 HB Rotatable Dipole @ 33ft (also didn't matter)
20 HB Moxon @ 36ft
80/40/160 (modified AD DX-CC with 160 added "zig-zag" around
back yard). Fed at about 30', and really much too low.
