Comments:
Initial check on 14 MHz: nil.... First time
possibly that I had more Q's than the ongoing
CWT-minute while running my own pile-up on
7 MHz... While 7 MHz got depleted I spent the
last 20 minutes on 3.5 MHz... Everything worked
fine with the single vertical, but I only have
to make sure that I will have a cable where the
current reverses within the cable at the point
of maximum voltage on any given frequency. That
is to avoid over-voltage damage in components.
Antennas don't need to be tuned: it is finally
current x distance that counts for field forming.
MAtching the impedances is a challenge, but losses
can be overcome despite extreme SWR, by choosing
fat and short cables at HF... Cheers/73, Zaba
