Comments:
Another FT8 contest without Novocaine. Plus, poorly specified rules gave the
knife an extra twist.
I see the European FT8 Club has posted the 2020 contest rules and they now
specify frequencies, same as those of the FT8 Roundup and ARRL Roundup. They
still don't say what contest name should go in the Cabrillo header in place of
ARRL-RTTY. One step at a time.
My main interest was finishing out an 80m virtual digital DXCC (no endorsement)
and I hoped to pick up a few normally easy EU countries I don't yet have, like
9H, ES, IS, LZ, OH, SV5, SV9, TF, TK, which might jump into an EU sponsored FT8
contest. Any three of those would get me there, but I came up zip. Any new ones
I heard were not in the contest and not from EU. And I didn't work any of them
either.
Otherwise it was a nice weekend and I worked in my garden.
