Comments:
First time that I am QRV from this apartment in 30 years.
The situation is not much different from that at OH5ZA,
except that there is much more noise. Using a sloper wire
from the second floor toward the Westward sector, but there
is a big wall of the neighboring house probably shielding
the USA East Coast azimuth, but just heard Pete/VA2CZ, then
worked Claude/VE2FK, maybe I have a laser resonator after all!

Already writing this during CWT, while having AutoCQ on the
IC-7300 and no response. The skip is longer than 2000 km...
Found that the general birdies around 14.029 / 14.031 come
from Ethernet-switches (here a D-link DES-1008D).
Nothing on 7 MHz. Noise is much higher. Maybe the old HomePNA
system was not removed after Ethernet was installed many years
ago. It had a strong central peak at 7 MHz. But I got some QSO's
in the OK1WC Memorial on 40/80 m on Monday evening, with a clear
optimum Westward (SM's)....
Strongest during the session was F5VJC. In the last 5 minutes
I heard N1LN peak above the noise for a moment. At the end the
band got also very busy with weak QRQ-signals...
Cheers/73, Zaba OH1ZAA #1856
