Chasing after the usual "Top QSO" honor again this year... had early
hopes of breaking the 900 mark. However, things really started to slow down and
just happy to possibly set a new all-time record, or at least the best QSO total
from this station anyways. I agree with K1LT, participation was up but
conditions were just average. There were many first-time SP participants in
this one, more than I can remember in past editions.
Never heard from ZL3IX who I see was hopping around, congrats to those that
worked him. I did fortunately work 3 JAs, JH2FXK answered my CQs about 2.5hr
pre-SR and JA7QVI about 40 minutes pre-SR. While watching the bandmap/waterfall
on the second radio, I saw a new signal pop up near the edge of the JA window...
upon moving the second radio to the frequency, K3ZM was heard calling someone.
It was JA3YBK. Eventually he got in the log, but it was not an easy one.
