Florida was Dx in this contest, without a beam to help out. First time I ever
used the Scan function on my radio. It helped find the contacts that were few
and far between - all CW. Scan is not hard to program on my radio and I'm sure
I'll use it again sometime. Thought I had Nebraska and was thrilled for a second
until it became clear that it was DC - thanks K0DI. Before I gave up on SSB I
did hear NV and AZ stations but never tried very hard to get them to hear me and
gave up on SSB. I had fun despite the band condx.
