Comments:
Saturday morning was very promising on 160 and 80, lost of semi rare
multipliers.
I had great expectations for the higher bands but decided to have first
breakfast and then move to 20 meters around 8z.
Suddenly the power line noise came on, it was so strong that I copied only the
strongest signals. In order not to flip my wig I took headphones off and walked
around and in about 15 minutes intervals. For the next 9 hours rate was hardly
20 QSOs/hour. I was chasing after multipliers because could not copy well enough
for pile up.
My ordinary goal was badly missed. The Saturday QSO count was 800-1000 short of
the goal. No way to recover and go for a high score. What then ? Giving up is
not my way of contesting.
Why not enjoy DXing within a contest ?
The outcome is in the summary above. A decent multiplier for any true contester
60 deg North.
There are 156 DXCC countries in the log and 40 meter multiplier is a little
better than what I got last year at OH0R on 40 single band.
I do not feel as tired as after a real contest but I had a great fun.
Thanks for the multipliers and see you all in the next contests.
Pertti, OH2PM/OG2P
