Comments:
Well that was fun. Lots of great mobile, portable, and fixed station ops to keep
it interesting, and good conditions on 20 and 40 meters for much of the contest.
And I really like the 8-hour time frame, as it doesn't tie up the whole
weekend.
Special thanks to the mobiles and rovers and county line stations for all the
QSOs and counties. Tops (including multiple county line contacts) were K0PC (27
Qs), AD4EB (24 Qs), N0I (22 Qs), KJ9C (22 Qs), W9AWE (11 Qs), and AC0RA (10 Qs).
And then there's W9AIU at a 4-county-line location and a big signal on multiple
bands and modes.
I didn't do as well on 75 meters this year, but 40 meters more than made up for
it. I was able to CQ on SSB for a while in the evening and picked up a number of
new counties.
Missed CASS, LIVG, MNTG and TAZW. I lost track of W9AWE for a while, during the
time he was in CASS. And I saw TAZW spotted on 14.070 (PSK?) but didn't want to
take the time to track it down. No idea about LIVG and MNTG.
Thanks to the organizers and the IL stations for a great contest!
