Comments:
Sounded like a good night to be in Ohio. Unfortunately, about a minute before
the start I noticed my K3 had developed an auto-QSY feature: the tuning knob
wanted to on its own rotate so the finger hole was at 1 o'clock. So anybody who
wasn't at that position (or at 7 o'clock where it couldn't decide which way to
QSY) I had to keep one hand on the tuning knob. My apologies to VE3YT on 160
when the radio QSY'd right off him after I sent my exchange :-(
After the contest I pulled out the manual and figured out that the nut holding
the encoder to the front panel had come off. Replaced and tightened and the
radio now works.
Thanks to anybody I worked on FD. I was at W8EDU on Saturday and W3USA on
Sunday. And an NS welcome to KU8E!
