Comments:
Operated between weekend outdoor activities. Wasn't sure how much chair time I
would have to play. N1MM says 20 hours. Guess I had more chair time than I
thought!
Decided at the beginning I would just S&P for new prefix's. 20m was just all
new prefix's, and the band I started on. Was pleasantly surprised Friday and
Saturday evenings how long 20 stayed open. Propagation was interesting. Some DX
stations on 20m that were loud CQed in my face on occasion, and others that were
much weaker, heard me the first time with no problems. 9A1A is usually a slam
dunk on the first call on 20m. It was late in the contest Sunday afternoon
before they heard me call in. Before than, many times I got CQed in my face!
40 was a bit rough with lightening crashes Friday night. 80 was pretty bad both
nights. Only DX I could not work that was heard on 20 was JA. Heard several
Saturday night on 20, but I never even got a ?? with any of them.
Ended up with 73 different DX total. Not so bad at bottom of cycle - low power -
and S&P :) Lots of fun!
