Comments:
First time trying the new Flex 6600 in SO2R mode. My antenna system is still
not 100% SO2R ready, but I used a small 40m RX loop as the receive antenna, so
it was possible to S&P 40m while running on 20m.
I made 9 second radio QSOs.
I operated remotely from my parents' house in Florida which has a fairly poor
internet connection, so I had a lot of latency and audio glitching due to the
bad connection.
Nonetheless it was a fun hour. There was plenty of isolation between the two
bands using no high power bandpass filtering, only the tuned RX loop and the
filtering built into the 6600.
I might be QRV in the 0300Z session later using the KX2 and a wire on the back
porch, or I might try remote again if I can find a better internet connection.
73 and thanks for the Qs. Lots of fun.
