Comments:
MY amp had a shorted tube which melted the plate choke. I'm not sure why the
fuse didn't blow. I tried to rewind the choke using magnet wire from an old
transformer but the wire was thicker so I wasn't able to get enough turns on the
form. Thus the amp was unusable on 160,80 and 40. This episode cost me all of
Friday night but at least the amp worked on 20,15 and 10 when I finished.
