Comments:
The YCCC was looking for team members so I signed up for the Sporadic F group. I
didn't intend to operate the whole 10 hours but even with my time out of the
shack I did. Guess I misrepresented myself as sporadic. Too much fun to be had.
I planned to watch more of the football game, but the Pats seemed to be doing OK
without me. I'm not much of a fan, but with a senior citizen quarterbacking it's
an inspiration for me.
80m was good fun. I'm always surprised how well my antenna works. NVIS, I guess.
Wish I could figure out a way to do a stealth 160m antenna in my mini-back yard.
Still scratching my head on that one.
As the night wore on my CW skills declined. Certain letter combinations in calls
flummoxed me, like WB8WKQ. I don't know why those letters give me problems. Some
kind of tired gray matter seize-up.
Thanks for all the QSOs.
