Comments:
I've been looking forward to this contest for awhile... A little before the
start time I went to my shack and started everything up. I started tuning
around on 20M, but I couldn't hardly hear anything. After about 30 minutes I
decided to try some troubleshooting - turns out something is wrong with my GAP
Challenger Vertical that I use for 20, 15, and 10 meters. VSWR thru the roof.
Its cold outside and I didn't feel like chasing down the problem. I decided to
wait until sundown and work 40 and 80 where I have reliable wires. So I took a
nap and watched "The Italian Job" (Great flick). Got back into the
shack a little after 6 PM and put a minor effort in - 100 contacts split between
80 and 40.
I'll have to figure out what wrong with my GAP if there's a warm afternoon
sometime this week.
73 es gud dx de ND3N...
