Comments:
Very fun CWT although conditions weren't the best IMHO. I started out on 15 and
heard a few signals but could only work one BIG station. The signals on 20 were
not extremely strong at my QTH. About halfway through I went to 40 and heard
some strong signals there, but also a lot of noise on the band. This venture
reminded me of my early days in Hermosa Beach when my pal Johnny Gonzalez and I
would walk a mile and a half or so (which seemed like forever) to fish off the
Manhatten Beach Pier. The fishing involved a lot of waiting, and we'd spend most
of the day there. If the day was good, we'd come home with 8 or 9 small perch
and maybe a herring or two between us. Six QSOs isn't an awful lot, for sure,
but six is better than nothing, and I didn't have to walk three miles -- only 30
or 40 feet from the den to the shack! Thanks for the Qs and 73!
