Comments:
I got home Sunday afternoon at 1900 UTC after a trip to Iowa for a grandson's
birthday and to watch Iowa State, my alma mater, upset TCU in a football game
for the ages.
I jumped into the fray to see what I could do with 5 watts in 5 hours, starting
on 15 which was hopping - but I think I missed whatever EU opening there might
have been earlier in the day. It was nice to get quite a few EU mults on 20,
but I missed some too. The Italians were just booming in. And it was great to
see 10 open to the south! The conditions made me wish I could have had the
whole weekend. Oh well... priorities.
I just couldn't hear much on 40 and definitely wasn't being heard. It was like
I was running QRP or something. Hi! But I heard a lot of other folks calling
DX and not being heard either.
73,
Randy, ND0C
