Comments:
KX2, Alex Loop, and a pencil.
My first-ever try at QRP with gear borrowed from W6TCP. Thanks to K0MP, WJ9B,
W0IZ, and N5AW/0 (good ears, Marv). Didn't hear many stations on this rig, nor
on my regular station.
Did some RBN testing beforehand. Compared with my R6000 vertical, the Alex Loop
is 3-9 dB worse, and an end-fed half-wave was 3-5 dB worse than that. No wonder
nobody could hear me. At this time of day, I normally run 500 W just to get 40
Qs in an hour. We'll see how things go on my trip to Virginia City this
weekend. I'll try for a few Qs in NAQP RTTY and also CW from the motel.
