Comments:
Yep, long-duration geomagnetic disturbance, along with low solar flux, depressed
HF propagation considerably,* and like others, also had high local noise levels
most of the contest. That's it for excuses. Still had fun hunting down each and
every contact, mainly because I got few answers to CQs on any band!
*The exception was 10 meters, which opened on N-S paths Saturday and especially
Sunday afternoons.
Propagation was reflected in the top five prefixes worked: PY, EA, LU, F, and
CE, which contributed 38% of my QSOs on all bands--quite a skewed
distribution.
Station: K3 + ACOM 1000
40M: Dipole (Thanks to Dave, who put up the dipole on Thursday)
20M: Dipole
15M: 4-ele Yagi
10M: 5-ele Yagi (Dave also freed a stuck rotator on the 10-meter tower)
There is always a next time!
Emil.
