Comments:
This was a nice bit of fun for a few hours on Sunday. The fun parts were a
great little run on 20m to Europe on Sunday morning, a similar, shorter run on
40m much later, and working a few VKs LP on 40m.
The low point was 10m propagation. Ten was dead Sunday morning, but showed
poor signs of life in the afternoon. The oddest QSO was with VP9/W6PH with an
s9 signal. It must have been Sporadic-E, but that is unusual in March. The
next closest stations worked were in South America. Fifteen was somewhat
better, but still very bad.
A personal treat was hearing my buddy Ron 6W1SU (VE3REV) trying a contest from
the DX side for the first time, and handling the pileup pretty well for a
contest novice.
Now on to BERU next weekend!
