Comments:
Interesting contest.
My antennas are basically uncompetitive, except on 80. So I made sure to be
there at some unusual times, and that made for a decent 80m score. In fact,
only 11 QSOs less and 1 Mult more than my CQWW CW single band high power score
this fall.
I liked the way 20 sounded, like it had really gone long, and I couldn't hear
USA stations too much until around noon local, but EU was pretty good. Maybe
vertical polarization? 15 not really as good for me. There always seemed to be
another level of signals down there I just couldn't work, and pileups weren't
good to me. But, one's antennas should be higher than one's roof, and mine
aren't.
Still, this was one of my better scores from either Arkansas or Texas in an all
band contest, so I'm reasonably happy with it.
