Comments:
I had a nice pipeline to Minnesota on 20m (early) and
40m (later) so thought I'd grab a few Qs on a slow
Saturday. I ran across three BCQP stations, too, and
force-fed them into the MNQP log. X-QSO'ed them out
later.
Wish I had had more time but the XE-RTTY distracted me
for much of the day.
When I was a boy we had relatives, miners, up in the
Mesabi Range in Minesota. What I remember from our
visits were mosquitoes in the air and blood
suckers in the 10,000 lakes. The mosquitoes swarmed
us like dive bombers, too many to fight off, but the
blood suckers were a lot of fun, especially after a
good feeding. Peel 'em off and whack 'em with nice
flat rocks or a hammer. Splat. All the little kids
screamed.
