Comments:
Well, Sat. night was certainly interesting. With Kp sitting at 3 and solar wind
blasting the ionosphere, the band opened to EU after NA sunset. The first clue
was when HG8DX called in at 2334Z. The neighborhood noisemakers were even quiet
for a while. For nearly 6 hours, the EU stations occasionally showed up, 16
countries altogether, some quite strong, but there was really no opening at EU
sunrise. No DX at all at NA sunrise Sunday.
Not a serious effort, and I expected much worse conditions. Just goes to show
that you should never count 160 out just because Sol is acting up a bit.
Thanks for all the Q's!
73,
