Rig: IC7600 into TenTec Centurion amp =800w into 52 ft tall, qtr wave Inv-L +
22x65' radials.
CNDX: Night One: very low QRN, strong SS signals all night; strong Caribbean
sigs; below-average EU sigs heard. Night Two: another night of strong SS and
Caribbean sigs; increased EU DX but still below average; QRN increased to
S4, covering up weaker sigs.
Best DX: No pleasant surprises; just CS2-F5-DL-OK- KL7-KH6-OA-HK+ multiple
Caribbean stations.
Highlights: working VE1-VE7's galore; bountiful strong West Coast, PNW sigs;
every state well represented.
Overall Performance of new 52' vertical, one qtr wave inv-L considered very
good. Put 843 Q's in the log during just under 15 HRS operating time
producing an average rate of 57/HR, with operating style 80% running ( near
1806 kHz) and 20% S&P. Used N1MM+ software.
