Comments:
Propagation down from what it was earlier in the week. Signals from east coast
down and signals from Caribbean and South America really poor. Managed to work
all sections except for KP4. Just could not get any of them to hear us. Saw
lots of spots for V31MA and others that were totally invisible here for the
whole contest. Never heard them at all. Can usually work V31MA with no
problem. Very surprised to work a couple of Europeans, TM6T and CS2C. Also
had qsos with 70 JAs. Nice to see the activity.
Using a new wire Asymmetrical Hatted Vertical Dipole (AHVD). It hangs from
several big trees. 90 ft tall with 2 radials 15 ft above ground. Very pleased
with its performance. Have 2x 500 ft beverages for NE/SW and E/W. They really
helped pull out the weak signals.
