Comments:
Put in 10.5 hours -- a couple more than last year, but I was watching RBN to see
how various antenna configurations changed things. Makes for pretty easy A-B
comparisons between antennas.
The Inverted-L has been compromised since spring 2015, so this and last year's
scores used the same drooping end-fed inverted V -- never got it fixed this
summer. It aims either straight up or at the Pacific, so thanks to anyone east
of me for hearing me at all. Sure noticed how well I was working Oregon, but
not much in the other direction beyond Colorado.
The FCP isolator with three elevated radials was the winner signal-strenth wise
on the reverse becon network. Anything else I had in the air didn't get a spot
at all. Once the Inverted-L far-end is back in the air at 70 feet things should
be a lot better.
Managed to add half a dozen new mults in the wee hours on Sunday morning --
don't get on much at 3 or 4 a.m. any more but it was worth it to see how much
easier it was to work a few good listeners on the east coast, including VE3EJ,
VY2ZM and a few W1s I needed.
That got me close to my 2014 score, but I still long for 300-plus Qs total as
in 2007 when the Inverted-L first went up over a field of 36 short radials on
ground.
