Comments:
Propagation was terrible here - close to the north-easter frontier of Poland. I
have never had a good run of NA stations during the contest. Never! Calling CQ
to NA was unproductive and wasting of time. Not a single station from Canada
after the first night. ALL stations from zone 3 were worked via long path.
Finally only 262 stations from the USA in the log and 15 stations from Canada.
Disaster. No NA stations = no good score.
In such a situation I spent more time working S&P. The only missing zone is
6. I saw some XE stations and was always checking spots but I have never heard a
single sign from XE so I missed the country/zone multiplier.
Seeing the propagation problems I was trying to operate all the contest time to
make the score better. So almost 48 hours at the radio and of course I got
asleep during a CQ two or three times. Waking up when a station is calling you
is always a terrible experience.
Thanks for all QSOs. Thanks to Mirek SP4MPG for the possibility to operate from
his contest station once again. The equipment: FT-1000MKV, PA, 3el Yagi (about
43m above the ground), K9AY array as an additional RX antenna.
I am using N1MM Logger+ : wonderful contest software. I think we, N1MM users
community, owe so much to Tom N1MM and his team.
