Comments:
The bands seemed less crowded than last year - it was easier to find run
frequencies. That said, I found myself on the high end of 20 and 40 sometimes.
I made more band changes than usual trying to keep the run rates up.
I was quicker to recognize that 20 wasn't producing at the beginning of the
contest than last year - I switched to 40 in the first hour.
VE8GER called me late Sunday morning for the Sweep - NT was my last section.
I found VY1AAA on the low end of 20 meters later with a good signal.
I only worked one station from Newfoundland and had at least two QSOs from all
the others. SB was a surprising late section for me.
Thanks to John Evans, N3HBX, for letting me use his fine station again. John
has done a lot of work on the station repairing lightning damage and everything
was working. Every time I do this contest, I'm reminded that I really like CW!
