Comments:
This was another part time effort to put add to the PVRC club point totals.
Sunday was mostly off the air time helping around the house and shopping as we
get ready for Thanksgiving.
The bands were as expected on Saturday with 15 only being good for the
occasional mult thanks to running SO2R and Unlimited class. 20 was hard to get
a decent run going but the fun started when moving to 40. Good that I went to
40 early as it went long early causing the move to 75 much earlier than
expected. That was a good thing as it was easier to get a good run frequency.
Well, I thought that anyway. Seems I was on one of those - OWNED - 75 meter
frequencies and the - OWNERS - decided it was time to QRM me. Tuning up, using
many of those special 75 meter expressions, etc. Oh what fun. So, they did win
and I finally moved from 3815 to 3731 . What a difference. No yelling, no
intentional QRM, and the rate picked up and then the sweep.
My sweep came after 6 hours 45 minutes with the last three being NL, SB and
then MB. VE4VT called me at 0345 for number 83.
Thanks to all for the Qs, the fills and fun.
Happy Thanksgiving !
73,
Bruce N1LN
