Comments:
Great fun chasing the Sweep as always and decent rates for awhile. I went to
sleep needing only RI and NL. The next morning, there were two RI stations
within a few kHZ of each other. Then I called VO1MP through a nice pileup for
the Sweep at 1344Z, my earliest ever since we moved to 83 sections.
My last five sections were SJV (can't explain that one), AK, NE, RI, and NL. I
worked all the other sections at least twice except NT and VI. My Sunday Sweep
attempt missed PAC, NT, and VI (having already worked them), but a Sunday Sweep
was possible.
Two years ago I didn't log or work dupes and saw a big jump in error rate. Last
year I worked dupes and the error rate was back to normal. Having learned my
lesson, I worked dupes again this year (20). My Q total was the lowest since
2005.
It's always fun to work fellow School stations (in order worked): K9IU W4UAL
W5TT W8EDU W1AF W3YI and NN8MU. We've got a great team of students practicing
hard this year, and they're looking forward to working you all in the SSB
Sweeps.
Thanks to all for the contacts!
