Antennas:
- 6m dipole at 2.5m (Walton County)

Equipment:
- Elecraft K3/100 running 100 watts

Comments:

Contest was a complete bust for me. Yes, I only have the dipole, and, yes, it
is probably too low to be competitive, but you think I would have heard
SOMEBODY on the band.

Nothing heard Saturday night, so I spent more time in the WAE Phone contest. As
I would finish S & P of a band in the WAE, I'd pop back up to 6m to see if
anything was happening.

On Sunday afternoon, I set up the K3 to call CQ on 50129 kHz, repeating every
five seconds. I grabbed my other laptop and was able to finish up something for
work in the hour that I called CQ. Not a peep in response.

The band was DEAD.
