I started 3.5 hours late after running errands mid-day.
I was going to sit this one out but after reading AB4B's plea and realizing
that all counties would be represented I decided to help the deserving with
another entry from Limestone County, especially on SSB.
My first QSO was in response to EA7GX's "CQ Alabama" on 20m SSB at
1931z.
After a few CQ's, there were no more answers so I moved to CW with much greater
success (using my barefoot radio). 40M SSB was especially flat even though I
was on the suggested center frequency (7230) CQing. I had NO answers to my CQs
on 15M CW.
40M was Very Productive, even before sunset.
Signals on 80M were quite good in the last 2 hours but activity was
disappointingly low. N8II moved me to 160M at the end,for my only QSO on that
band.
