Comments:
First contest in a few years to sit for a long period of time.
I need some improvements. My Skyhawk is great for 20-15 and 10.
But with this downward cycle, I have ordered a 3 element 40 from DX
Engineering and will get it up over the summer.
I spent better than 50 years operating VHF contests, but my preference is
CW. So I am going to dedicate my last years giving out CW contacts.
Ten meters was really strange. Sunday morning I was hearing a few signals on
the band, and my calls to stations were unheard. I've only seen this in
previous years while doing EME on VHF bands. The last four hours of the
contest, the QRN was brutal. Even with my beverage, I could only hear strong
signals on 40 meters.
Moral of this story - I HAD FUN 73's Herb K2LNS
