What to say?
It was my first SO3R operation, real low power single op 3 radio.
Used equipment:
- FT1000MP field, K3 and TS590S
- ANT Switch with BPF by S58A
- low power 4-plexer by S57K
- home made audio & antenna controler (TX inhibit)
- EZMaster
- one tower antenna system:
160 - shunt feed tower
80 - rotary short dipole
40 - 2el &25m, delta loop
20,15,10 - 3x 3-band hm antenna &29, 17 and 9m
Radio 1 and 2 conected to EZMaster on first computer and radio 3 separately on
second computer.
R1&R2 alterate cq-ing almost all the time, R3 s&p on third band.
I used home made audio switch with two "mode":
- normal SO2R mode to listen R1/R2 with EZMaster
- SO3R mode to listen R1/R2 (alternate CQ) on left ear and R3 on right ear.
When need to focus with both ears on R3 I use footswitch connected to audio
switch.
I used also third computer in network for connection with cqcontesting.net for
video stream. In few days I will do also the video for youtube.
To exclude some "bad" moments need some practice in future but
generally - yes, it is posible and it work good.
Thanks for Q's and cheers!
73's!
Sandi S57K (ex S52OP)
