Comments:
An almost repeat of last year's conditions, though had a couple dozen more
Europeans logged the first night, and QSOS, DX multiplier and score slightly
higher. Saturday night opened well to Europe around 02z and a steady stream for
several hours.
In the end, 237 ten-pointers and 83 five-pointers.
First hour was a good start with 114 QSOs, but it was the only one above 100.
One JA logged before sunrise Saturday, and lost two others that called in
shortly after. No VK or ZL heard but lots of KH6 activity.
Worked 49 states, never heard KL7. No VO2, NU, NWT or YT.
Rig: A pair of Elecraft K3 transceivers. Alpha 89 amp.
TX antennas: K3LR +1 parasitic vertical array (extra director to Europe);
Broadside/endfire array of 4 verticals 330 ft by 146 feet.
Installed 3 Top Ten 6-way relay boxes and homebrew controller a few days before
the contest to handle all the receiving antennas (multiple phased Beverages,
short vertical arrays).
