Comments:
I went retro in this contest with a FT-1000 MP Field,
500 Hz filter and a 30 year old homebrew keyer. It added
to the challenge, I suppose as compensation for not running
QRP. I did enjoy working all the QRP entrants.
This was a casual effort with long breaks, regular meal
times and sleep. Even so it got very boring by late Sunday
afternoon. I quit early since little was happening. It was
wall to wall CQ machines plus pile ups on the fresh meat.
In my opinion this contest needs a rules refresh.
